Siemens ICP-B6 Intelligent Control Point – Efficient Control for Fire Safety Systems

The Siemens ICP-B6 Intelligent Control Point (part number 500-895303) is a compact and highly reliable output device designed to control auxiliary equipment within a Siemens intelligent fire alarm system. Its smart design and dependable performance make it ideal for various commercial and industrial applications.

Key Features

Versatile Output Control
The ICP-B6 provides a supervised Form C relay output, allowing it to activate external devices such as door holders, HVAC controls, notification appliances, or elevator recall systems. This flexibility enables tailored integration into complex fire safety networks.

Addressable Functionality
Since the unit operates as an addressable control module, it ensures precise identification and monitoring within the fire alarm system. Each module reports its status individually, allowing for quick response and targeted troubleshooting when needed.

Compact Design
The ICP-B6’s slim profile and intelligent circuit layout enable installation in tight spaces. Despite its small footprint, it offers full control functionality, making it suitable for installations where space efficiency matters.

Reliable Supervision
The control point includes line supervision to monitor the external device wiring. This ensures that any open or short conditions are promptly reported to the fire alarm control panel, enhancing overall system reliability.

Durable Construction
Built with robust components and quality housing, the ICP-B6 is engineered to operate effectively in demanding environments. It withstands everyday conditions found in institutional, commercial, or industrial facilities.

Application and Usage

Use the Siemens ICP-B6 in applications requiring reliable control over external devices linked to fire alarm systems. It performs exceptionally well in buildings where multiple control points are needed, such as hospitals, schools, airports, and government buildings. Furthermore, its addressable design ensures seamless coordination with Siemens fire alarm panels.

Installation Tips

For best results, install the ICP-B6 in a standard electrical box near the equipment it controls. Be sure to properly configure the address settings using the Siemens DPU programming tool, and verify the wiring connections to both the signaling line circuit (SLC) and the controlled device. Additionally, always test after installation to confirm proper relay operation.
