Simplex 4090-9106 Zone Adapter Module (ZAM)

The Simplex 4090-9106 is a Class A Zone Adapter Module designed to provide an addressable interface between a conventional initiating device circuit and a Simplex IDNet or MAPNET II fire alarm system. It allows compatible conventional two wire initiating devices to be monitored as a single addressable point while maintaining Class A circuit operation.

The module features sealed electronics, onboard communication, LED status indication, and screw terminal wiring for dependable operation in commercial fire alarm systems. Its compact design fits within a standard electrical box, making installation and servicing straightforward.

Product Functions

• Monitors one Class A initiating device circuit
• Interfaces conventional initiating devices to the fire alarm control panel
• Provides one addressable monitoring point
• Reports normal, alarm, and open circuit conditions
• Continuously supervises field wiring
• Provides LED communication indication
• Supports two wire conventional initiating devices
• Communicates over the IDNet or MAPNET II signaling circuit

Electrical & System Information

The 4090-9106 communicates over the IDNet or MAPNET II signaling circuit and occupies one address on the communication loop. It supervises a Class A conventional initiating device circuit and reports its status to the fire alarm control panel.

The module includes screw terminal connections for field wiring and a visible LED that flashes during normal communication with the control panel. Device addressing is configured using an eight position DIP switch located beneath the resealable label.
