Simplex 4090-9118 Relay IAM with T Sense

The Simplex 4090-9118 is a Relay Individual Addressable Module with T Sense input designed to provide both relay control and supervised input monitoring within a single addressable module. It combines a Form C relay output with a multi state supervised input, allowing efficient monitoring and control for smoke control, damper operation, fan control, and other commercial fire alarm applications.

The module communicates over the IDNet signaling circuit while receiving both operating power and communications through the same wiring pair. Its compact enclosed design minimizes dust infiltration and allows installation inside a standard four inch square electrical box.

Product Functions

• Controls one Form C relay output
• Monitors one supervised T Sense input
• Reports multiple input states to the fire alarm control panel
• Supervises field wiring
• Monitors normally open dry contacts
• Differentiates short circuit and current limited contact closures
• Supports smoke control applications
• Supports damper position monitoring
• Provides LED communication indication

Electrical & System Information

The 4090-9118 operates from the IDNet communication channel, which supplies both power and data over a single wire pair. The T Sense input supervises normally open dry contacts and distinguishes between Normal, Open Circuit, Short Circuit, and Current Limited conditions, allowing multiple monitored states to be reported using a single address.

The Form C relay output operates independently from the monitored input and may be programmed for a variety of fire alarm or building control functions. The module occupies a single IDNet address while providing both relay control and supervised monitoring.
