High-Temperature Remote Heat Sensing for Specialized Applications
The HTRI-S is an intelligent remote heat detector designed for environments where standard detectors cannot be directly installed—such as air ducts, confined spaces, or high-temperature zones. It works in conjunction with compatible intelligent fire alarm systems, providing accurate heat detection where it’s most critical.
Remote Sensor Head for Difficult Installations
The HTRI-S features a remote sensing element connected via a flexible armored cable to its control base. As a result, the sensing probe can be placed directly into ducts or hazardous locations while the electronics remain safely accessible. This configuration allows for easier maintenance and reduces exposure to harsh environmental conditions.
Intelligent Addressability and Communication
When paired with a compatible analog addressable system, the HTRI-S communicates real-time temperature data to the fire alarm control panel. Therefore, it enables advanced diagnostics, sensitivity adjustments, and precise alarm point configuration. In addition, the device supports both fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detection modes depending on the control panel programming.
Built for Demanding Conditions
Designed for reliability in tough environments, the HTRI-S uses a durable sensing element capable of withstanding high heat, vibration, and airflow turbulence. Furthermore, its probe housing is resistant to corrosion and contamination, making it suitable for industrial, commercial, and HVAC applications.
Simple Installation with Flexible Mounting Options
The HTRI-S mounts easily to a variety of surfaces and integrates seamlessly with duct detection housings or standalone junction boxes. Moreover, it includes standard terminal connections for streamlined wiring, reducing labor during installation.
UL Listed and NFPA Compliant
This detector is UL 521 listed for heat detection and meets applicable NFPA 72 guidelines. Consequently, it supports code-compliant installations in both new construction and retrofit projects.
