Siemens HTRI High-Temperature Detector (P/N 500-033260): Rugged Heat Sensing for Demanding Environments

The Siemens HTRI High-Temperature Detector (P/N 500-033260) offers reliable heat detection in challenging environments. Designed to respond quickly to extreme temperature rises, this unit provides dependable protection where standard smoke detection may not be suitable.

Key Features

High-Temperature Sensitivity
The HTRI activates at a fixed high temperature, making it ideal for areas exposed to heat, dust, or fumes. Unlike smoke detectors, it focuses on rapid heat rise rather than particulate detection.

Durable Construction
Built with robust materials, this detector withstands harsh industrial and commercial settings. You can rely on its long-term performance even under high-stress conditions.

Low Maintenance Requirements
Because the HTRI doesn’t use optical or ionization chambers, it requires less frequent cleaning or recalibration. This benefit results in lower upkeep over time.

Universal Compatibility
It works with Siemens addressable detection systems, including MXL and XLS control panels. Therefore, it fits seamlessly into new or existing configurations.

Clear Identification
Labeled for easy identification and placement, the HTRI simplifies system documentation and inspection processes.

Application and Usage

The Siemens HTRI suits locations where smoke detection is unreliable or impractical. Common areas include boiler rooms, parking garages, generator rooms, mechanical spaces, and warehouses with heavy equipment. It’s designed to provide early warning even in thermally active spaces where smoke may not accumulate predictably.

Installation Tips

Mount the HTRI on ceilings or walls according to the manufacturer’s layout guidelines. Always ensure proper spacing to avoid blind spots in coverage. Additionally, document each installation location and test regularly using heat test equipment.

Advantages

• Triggers alarms based on fixed temperature thresholds

• Performs reliably in smoky or dusty environments

• Requires minimal maintenance due to solid-state design

• Integrates smoothly with Siemens’ intelligent systems

• Suited for both industrial and commercial applications
