Gamewell MMO-6SF Supervised Control Module

Gamewell MMO-6SF Supervised Control Module: Reliable Output Control for Fire Systems

The Gamewell MMO-6SF Supervised Control Module is engineered to control external devices such as strobes, horns, or door holders in addressable fire alarm systems. With built-in supervision, this module ensures constant monitoring of wiring integrity, enhancing system reliability and response during emergencies. As a result, it plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and effective alarm signaling across any facility.

Key Features

Supervised Output Control
The MMO-6SF provides supervised control of external notification appliances. Consequently, it guarantees that circuits remain intact and alerts are issued if a fault is detected, such as an open or short circuit.

Addressable Design
Each module connects to the Gamewell-FCI SLC (Signaling Line Circuit), allowing the fire alarm panel to identify and monitor individual devices. This feature simplifies troubleshooting and speeds up service.

LED Status Indicator
An onboard LED provides clear, real-time feedback. It flashes during normal polling and remains steady when activated, which helps technicians quickly assess module status during maintenance checks.

Standard Mounting Compatibility
This module mounts to a standard 4-inch electrical box and is compatible with Gamewell-FCI faceplates. Installation is straightforward, and the compact design helps conserve panel space.

Low Standby Current
The MMO-6SF consumes minimal power while on standby. Therefore, it supports energy efficiency and reduces overall system load, which is especially beneficial in larger installations.

Application and Usage

The MMO-6SF is designed for use in commercial and institutional fire alarm systems. For example, it is ideal for schools, office buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities. It can activate strobes, fans, door holders, and other notification appliances that are essential for emergency response procedures. Because it provides supervised output, building managers can be confident that their systems are functioning properly at all times.

Installation Tips

To ensure proper functionality:

• Mount the module in a clean, dry location using a standard 4-inch electrical box.

• Follow wiring diagrams provided by Gamewell-FCI to ensure correct configuration.

• Use twisted-pair wiring to maintain communication quality on the SLC loop.

It’s also important to test the module regularly and verify its interaction with connected appliances during scheduled system inspections.

Advantages

• Reliable Performance: Supervises external circuits for integrity, reducing the chance of unnoticed wiring failures.

• Easy Troubleshooting: Addressable capability allows pinpoint diagnostics and faster repairs.

• Compact Design: Saves space in electrical enclosures while maintaining full functionality.

• Energy Efficient: Operates with low current draw, minimizing system power consumption.

• Flexible Applications: Supports a wide range of outputs, from fans to strobes and relays.
