Gamewell-FCI AMM-2F Addressable Mini Monitor Module

The Gamewell-FCI AMM-2F is an addressable mini monitor module designed for compatible Gamewell-FCI fire alarm systems. Specifically, it provides one supervised Style B (Class B) initiating device circuit (IDC) for monitoring normally open dry-contact initiating devices and reporting their status to the fire alarm control panel.

Built for dependable commercial operation, the AMM-2F features a compact design, rotary decimal address switches, a bi-color LED status indicator, and flexible programming options. In addition, its miniature size allows installation inside manual pull stations, electrical boxes, duct detector housings, and other initiating device enclosures.

This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations and is not surveillance equipment, communications equipment, consumer electronics, tracking equipment, or recording devices.

Product Functions

The Gamewell-FCI AMM-2F supports commercial fire alarm systems by providing:

• Monitoring of one Style B (Class B) initiating device circuit
• Addressable monitoring of normally open dry-contact devices
• Support for manual pull stations
• Support for waterflow switches
• Support for valve tamper switches
• Support for projected beam detectors
• Support for linear heat detection
• Remote system control inputs
• Reliable operation with compatible Gamewell-FCI fire alarm systems

Electrical & System Information

The AMM-2F operates on compatible Gamewell-FCI Signaling Line Circuits (SLC) utilizing the Velociti® communication protocol. Furthermore, the module supervises one initiating device circuit using a 47 kΩ end-of-line resistor while continuously reporting its operating status to the fire alarm control panel.

The initiating device circuit supports up to 40 ohms of line resistance, allowing use with long wire runs and linear heat detection systems. Always verify compatibility before installation.

Features

Compact Mini Module

The AMM-2F features a compact lightweight design that allows installation inside manual pull stations, electrical boxes, duct detector housings, and other initiating device enclosures. As a result, installers can add addressable monitoring without requiring large mounting cabinets.

Addressable Monitoring

The module converts compatible normally open dry-contact devices into individually identifiable addressable points. Consequently, the fire alarm control panel can display the exact location of the monitored device during an alarm or supervisory condition.

Flexible Input Programming

The AMM-2F can be programmed for numerous applications including:

• Manual Pull Station
• Heat Detector
• Waterflow Switch
• Valve Tamper Switch
• Beam Detector
• Supervisory Device
• Remote Reset
• Remote Silence
• Drill Switch

This flexibility allows the same module to support many different fire alarm applications.

Bi-Color LED Indicator

The integrated LED flashes green during normal polling and illuminates steady red during an alarm condition. Therefore, technicians can quickly verify module operation during installation and maintenance.

Long Wiring Capability

The supervised initiating device circuit supports long wire runs with up to 40 ohms of line resistance. In addition, the module is suitable for applications such as linear heat detection systems.

Mounting & Design

The Gamewell-FCI AMM-2F features a compact thermoplastic housing with factory-installed wire leads for simplified installation. Furthermore, the module is designed to mount inside a standard single-gang electrical box without rigid mounting hardware.

Its small footprint makes it ideal for retrofit installations where space inside existing devices is limited.

Protection & Applications

The AMM-2F is designed exclusively for commercial fire alarm systems requiring addressable monitoring of conventional initiating devices.

Typical applications include:

• Manual Pull Stations
• Waterflow Switches
• Valve Tamper Switches
• Beam Smoke Detectors
• Linear Heat Detection
• Supervisory Devices
• Security Contacts
• Commercial Fire Alarm Systems

Always install the module according to local building codes, fire codes, NFPA requirements, and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Compatibility

The Gamewell-FCI AMM-2F is designed for use with compatible Gamewell-FCI fire alarm control panels supporting the Velociti® protocol.

The module supervises one Style B (Class B) initiating device circuit using a 47 kΩ end-of-line resistor and accepts compatible normally open dry-contact devices.

Before purchasing or installing this module, verify compatibility with the intended fire alarm control panel, initiating devices, and project requirements.
