The Edwards SIGA-MCC2A Dual Signal is an analog addressable device use to connect a supervise Class A or Class B output circuit to two input circuits (riser 1 and riser 2). In addition, the MCC2A does not provide supervision of the riser; the fire alarm panel must provide this function. Upon command from the loop controller, the MCC2A connects the output circuit to the riser 1 bus or the riser 2 bus. The output can be 24 VDC to operate polarize audible and visible signals or 25 V or 70 V to operate audio evacuation circuits. Also, two device addresses are require. The Edwards SIGA-MCC2A Dual Signal can also be configure as a three-state or four state telephone riser selector.
The loop controller assigns an address to the MCC2A automatically. in conclusion, a custom address can be assign using a laptop computer. No addressing switches are use. Diagnostic LEDs provide a visible indication of the status of the module when the cover plate is remove.
• Normal: green LED flashes
• Alarm/active: red LED flashes
The CC2A mounts in a two-gang electrical box. The MCC2A plugs into a UIO motherboard. Both modules provide the same functionality. The actual operation of the module is determined by the “personality code” selected by the installer. It is download to the module from the Signature loop controller during system configuration.
