The Space Age SSU00481 TCC Claw Ceiling Bracket is a ceiling grid mounting solution designed to simplify the installation of fire alarm notification appliances and other 4-inch electrical devices in suspended ceiling systems. The Space Age SSU00481 features a one-piece galvanized steel design with integrated ceiling tile claws that securely stabilize the bracket during installation. Supplied as a pack of five, it provides an efficient solution for commercial fire alarm and life safety installations. Therefore, it is ideal for new construction and retrofit ceiling applications.

Space Age SSU00481 Function

The SSU00481 is designed to securely mount standard 4-inch square electrical devices within suspended ceiling grids. As a result, installers can quickly position speakers, strobes, speaker-strobes, and other notification appliances without complex support hardware. In addition, the bracket helps maintain proper alignment while providing reliable long-term support.

One-Piece Clawed Ceiling Bracket Design

The Space Age SSU00481 utilizes a one-piece bracket with integrated mounting plate and support arms. Consequently, installation is simplified while reducing the number of individual components required. Furthermore, the integrated design provides excellent rigidity and dependable support for mounted fire alarm devices.

Heavy-Duty Galvanized Steel Construction

The bracket is manufactured from 18-gauge galvanized steel to provide exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Therefore, it is well suited for commercial and institutional building environments. Additionally, the galvanized finish provides long-term durability while resisting corrosion and everyday wear.

Four Integrated Ceiling Tile Claws

Each support arm incorporates four integrated claws that grip the ceiling tile during installation. As a result, the bracket remains stable while devices are mounted and secured. Moreover, the clawed design minimizes movement during installation, allowing a single installer to complete the work more efficiently.

Countersunk Mounting Holes

The SSU00481 includes countersunk 8-32 mounting holes that accommodate self-aligning screws for attaching standard 4-inch square devices. Consequently, notification appliances can be installed without the risk of cross-threading. Furthermore, keyhole slots allow precise positioning and simplified installation.

The Space Age SSU00481 is suitable for mounting many common fire alarm devices, including:

• Horn/strobes
• Speaker/strobes
• Fire alarm speakers
• Visual strobes
• Ceiling notification appliances
• Standard 4-inch square electrical devices

Therefore, it provides a versatile mounting solution compatible with notification appliances from most major manufacturers.

Designed for Suspended Ceiling Systems
