The Edwards WGSRF-SP Outdoor Speaker is a high-performance voice evacuation speaker designed for indoor and outdoor fire alarm and emergency communication systems. As part of the Edwards Genesis LED WG Series, the WGSRF-SP features a high-fidelity speaker housed in a durable red enclosure with Spanish “FUEGO” marking, making it ideal for multilingual life safety installations. Therefore, it delivers clear emergency voice communication while withstanding demanding environmental conditions in commercial and industrial applications.

Edwards WGSRF-SP Function

The Edwards WGSRF-SP is engineered to broadcast clear emergency voice messages and evacuation instructions during fire alarm events. As a result, building occupants receive intelligible voice communication that supports orderly evacuation and emergency response. In addition, the speaker integrates seamlessly with compatible voice evacuation and emergency communication systems operating on standard 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS audio circuits.

High-Fidelity Voice Performance

The WGSRF-SP incorporates a high-quality speaker designed to provide excellent speech intelligibility across commercial and industrial facilities. Consequently, emergency announcements remain clear even in acoustically challenging environments. Moreover, the speaker achieves an excellent Speech Transmission Index (STI) of approximately 0.81, helping ensure occupants clearly understand emergency instructions.

Field-Selectable Audio Configuration

The Genesis LED WG Series speaker features field-selectable wattage taps of ¼, ½, 1, and 2 watts, along with a 25V/70V selectable input. Therefore, installers can easily configure sound output to match room acoustics and system requirements without replacing the speaker. Furthermore, all settings remain visible after installation, simplifying future inspections and maintenance.

Outdoor-Rated Construction

The Edwards WGSRF-SP is built for reliable performance in harsh indoor and outdoor environments. As a result, the speaker carries a NEMA 4X / IP66 installation rating (when installed as specified) with an IP67-compliant device, providing protection against rain, snow, dust, wash-down conditions, and other environmental challenges. Additionally, it operates in temperatures from -40°F to 151°F (-40°C to 66°C), making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.

Red Housing with Spanish “FUEGO” Marking

The WGSRF-SP features a durable red housing with highly visible FUEGO identification, making it well suited for facilities requiring Spanish-language fire alarm notification. Consequently, the speaker is easily recognized as part of the building’s life safety system. Additionally, Genesis LED Series appliances utilize interchangeable quick-swap covers, allowing field changes if future marking requirements evolve.
