Edwards GCSRF-SP Ceiling Speaker FUEGO Red

The Edwards GCSRF-SP is a ceiling-mounted fire alarm speaker designed for voice evacuation and emergency communication systems. As part of the Edwards Genesis LED GCS Series, the Edwards GCSRF-SP provides high-quality voice reproduction for emergency messaging in a red housing featuring prominent FUEGO marking, making it ideal for Spanish-language fire alarm installations. Therefore, it is well suited for commercial, healthcare, educational, hospitality, industrial, and government facilities requiring multilingual emergency notification.

Edwards GCSRF-SP Function

The GCSRF-SP is designed to reproduce emergency voice messages, evacuation instructions, paging announcements, and alarm tones transmitted from a compatible voice evacuation system. As a result, building occupants receive clear instructions during emergency events, improving evacuation efficiency and overall life safety. In addition, the appliance supports emergency communication systems requiring Spanish-language device identification.

High-Intelligibility Voice Evacuation

The Edwards GCSRF-SP incorporates a premium speaker engineered to provide excellent speech intelligibility. Consequently, emergency announcements are easier to understand throughout the protected area. Furthermore, high-quality audio performance supports compliance with modern voice evacuation and emergency communication standards.

25 Vrms and 70.7 Vrms Compatibility

The speaker supports both 25 Vrms and 70.7 Vrms audio circuits through a field-selectable voltage switch. Therefore, one model can be used in multiple system configurations. Additionally, selectable transformer taps allow installers to optimize sound output for each application.

Field-Selectable Wattage Taps

The Edwards GCSRF-SP provides four selectable speaker power settings:

• 1/4 Watt
• 1/2 Watt
• 1 Watt
• 2 Watts

As a result, audio coverage can be tailored to room size, occupancy, and ambient noise conditions. Moreover, wattage settings remain visible after installation for simplified inspection and maintenance.

Red Housing with FUEGO Marking

The GCSRF-SP features a durable red housing with highly visible FUEGO lettering to clearly identify the appliance in Spanish-language fire alarm systems. Consequently, occupants and emergency responders can quickly recognize the speaker’s emergency notification function. This marking is particularly beneficial in facilities serving Spanish-speaking occupants or where multilingual emergency communication is required.

Low-Profile Ceiling Design

The Genesis GCS Series features an ultra-slim ceiling-mounted design that extends approximately 1.5 inches from the mounting surface. Therefore, it provides effective voice notification while maintaining a clean architectural appearance. Additionally, room-side wiring simplifies installation and future servicing.
