Edwards SD-T60. 60-inch Sampling Tube.

Edwards SD-T60 60-inch Sampling Tube

The Edwards SD-T60 60-inch Sampling Tube offers dependable air sampling for duct smoke detection in HVAC systems with ducts up to 60 inches wide. It works seamlessly with Edwards duct-mounted smoke detectors to channel airflow directly into the sensing chamber. By delivering consistent samples from across the duct’s full width, it supports faster smoke detection and helps maintain compliance with fire protection standards.

Thanks to its extended reach and practical design, this sampling tube enhances both system coverage and efficiency.

Reliable Sampling Across Wide Ducts

With evenly spaced perforations along its 60-inch length, the SD-T60 gathers airflow from multiple points in the duct. That air then flows into the detector, allowing for accurate analysis of the duct’s internal conditions. As a result, the system identifies smoke particles early, before they can circulate further through the building.

This broader sampling range eliminates the need for multiple shorter tubes in wide ducts. Therefore, the SD-T60 helps reduce installation complexity while still maintaining effective coverage.

Built to Last in Demanding Environments

Edwards manufactures the SD-T60 from corrosion-resistant and impact-tolerant materials. The rigid structure resists common HVAC stressors, including vibration, pressure shifts, and temperature changes. Because of this durability, the tube continues performing reliably without warping or degradation over time.

Technicians can install the SD-T60 quickly and with minimal tools. It fits directly into compatible Edwards duct detectors and includes a sealed end cap. This cap prevents air from escaping, ensuring that the full sample passes through the sensing chamber for accurate detection.

Ideal for Commercial and Industrial Applications

This 60-inch sampling tube works well in a variety of settings, including airports, factories, hospitals, and large office buildings. Wherever ducts span wider than standard dimensions, the SD-T60 provides an efficient solution. In addition, it supports system designs that require broad detection coverage without increasing hardware requirements.

The Edwards SD-T60 60-inch Sampling Tube delivers wide-area airflow sampling for large duct smoke detection systems. Its durable construction, balanced sampling design, and ease of installation make it a valuable part of any Edwards fire detection setup. For projects that demand accuracy, compliance, and long-term reliability, the SD-T60 is an excellent solution.
