Edwards 6261-010 120-inch Sampling Tube

The Edwards 6261-010 120-inch Sampling Tube plays a vital role in large-duct smoke detection systems. Designed to work with Edwards duct-mounted smoke detectors, this sampling tube ensures proper airflow across wide HVAC ducts, helping to identify smoke or airborne particles early. With a full 120 inches in length, the tube allows systems to monitor large duct widths without compromising detection accuracy.

Its design supports reliable, balanced sampling across the entire duct span. As a result, the device contributes to faster detection and safer building environments.

Ideal for Wide HVAC Ducts

This sampling tube is specifically built for duct systems up to 10 feet wide. By drawing air evenly through multiple pre-drilled holes, it delivers a consistent sampling pattern. This balanced airflow improves detection precision, which is especially important in high-velocity ducts where uneven flow could delay response times.

Moreover, the 6261-010 enhances system reliability by ensuring that smoke detection devices receive adequate airflow. This feature is essential for large facilities like airports, hospitals, or data centers, where early warning is critical.

Durable Construction and Easy Setup

Edwards manufactures this sampling tube from strong, corrosion-resistant material that performs well under demanding HVAC conditions. It handles changes in air pressure and temperature without warping or cracking, ensuring long-term use.

Installation is fast and straightforward. Since the tube connects directly to compatible Edwards duct detectors, it reduces setup time for technicians. Additionally, the sealed end cap ensures proper air passage, while eliminating the need for on-site modifications.

Supports Fire Code Compliance

Accurate air sampling is a required component of code-compliant fire detection in air handling systems. When paired with Edwards duct detectors, the 6261-010 helps meet NFPA 72 and other regulatory standards. In turn, this supports facility inspections and maintains building safety certifications.

The Edwards 6261-010 120-inch Sampling Tube provides efficient and consistent smoke sampling across large ducts. Its durable build, even airflow design, and ease of installation make it an excellent choice for professionals working on commercial HVAC fire protection systems. For environments that demand early, accurate detection, this sampling tube enhances performance while supporting full compliance with fire safety codes.
