Edwards SD-T36. 36-inch Sampling Tube.

Edwards SD-T36 36-inch Sampling Tube

The Edwards SD-T36 36-inch Sampling Tube supports accurate and efficient smoke detection in HVAC ducts up to 36 inches wide. Designed for use with Edwards duct-mounted smoke detectors, this mid-length tube allows reliable air sampling across a broader duct span. By providing representative airflow to the sensing chamber, the SD-T36 helps ensure faster smoke detection and compliance with industry safety standards.

Thanks to its straightforward integration and durable design, this tube works well in both new and retrofit fire protection projects.

Reliable Air Sampling for Wider Ducts

The SD-T36 is equipped with multiple precision-drilled holes that pull air evenly from across the duct. This uniform airflow allows the connected detector to monitor changes in air quality with greater accuracy. In systems where duct width exceeds standard residential dimensions, the SD-T36 maintains the performance required for effective fire detection.

Because of its reach, the tube helps minimize the number of detectors needed per system. This reduces equipment costs while still meeting code requirements.

Durable Construction and Simple Installation

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials, the SD-T36 performs well in commercial HVAC environments. It resists vibration, thermal stress, and exposure to moisture or airborne particles. This ensures consistent airflow sampling over time, even in ducts that operate under variable conditions.

Installation is fast and efficient. The tube slides into the compatible Edwards detector housing and includes an end cap to seal the opposite end. This cap prevents bypass airflow and supports accurate pressure differentials within the sampling chamber.

Suited for a Range of Commercial Applications

The SD-T36 is ideal for mid-size commercial facilities such as schools, hospitals, retail spaces, and data centers. It offers enough length to cover medium to wide ducts while avoiding the complexity of extra-long sampling assemblies. Whether you are designing a new system or expanding an existing one, this tube provides the performance needed to meet today’s fire safety expectations.

The Edwards SD-T36 36-inch Sampling Tube delivers dependable airflow sampling for duct smoke detection systems in commercial buildings. With its sturdy construction, accurate coverage, and easy installation, it supports compliance and reliability across a wide range of HVAC configurations. When your project requires a proven solution for medium-width ducts, the SD-T36 offers both performance and peace of mind.
