Eaton ELSBB-R Eluxa Wall Surface Backbox Red

The Eaton ELSBB-R is a red surface-mount backbox designed for compatible Wheelock Eluxa LED wall-mount notification appliances. It provides the mechanical enclosure and mounting surface required when a horn, strobe, horn strobe, or other compatible Eluxa appliance cannot be installed using a recessed electrical box.

Eluxa Series Compatibility

Surface-Mount Application

Wiring & Conduit Access

The ELSBB-R provides an enclosure for notification appliance field wiring and supports appropriate cable or conduit entry arrangements.

Field conductors enter the backbox and terminate at the compatible Eluxa notification appliance installed on the front of the enclosure.

Because the ELSBB-R is a passive mechanical accessory, it does not require independent power, addressing, programming, or signaling circuit configuration.

Installation Information

The backbox is designed for wall-mounted surface installation and should be securely fastened to the approved mounting surface before the notification appliance is installed.

Proper installation should ensure that the box is level, securely attached, and positioned to provide adequate wiring access. Conduit fittings and cable entries should be installed according to applicable electrical and fire alarm requirements.
