VESDA VEP-A00-1P Aspirating Smoke Detector

VESDA VEP-A00-1P Smoke Detector: Compact Air Sampling Detection for Targeted Applications

The VESDA VEP-A00-1P Smoke Detector offers advanced very early smoke detection in a compact format with a single sampling pipe. Part of the VESDA-E series by Xtralis, this model combines high performance with simplicity, making it ideal for protecting smaller or more targeted areas that still demand fast and reliable fire detection.

Key Features

Targeted Air Sampling
With support for one sampling pipe, the VEP-A00-1P delivers precise smoke detection in specific zones. This configuration is ideal for applications such as electrical cabinets, elevator shafts, or compact server rooms, where localized monitoring is crucial.

High-Sensitivity Detection
Utilizing laser-based detection and continuous air sampling, the unit can identify extremely low levels of smoke. Therefore, it enables a proactive response before a fire has the chance to escalate.

Durable Plastic Enclosure
Constructed from lightweight, impact-resistant plastic, the enclosure offers both protection and easy installation. Its compact design ensures it fits in tight spaces while maintaining full performance.

Real-Time Monitoring Interface
The integrated display and status LEDs provide immediate feedback on system operation. Additionally, the intuitive user interface simplifies setup and maintenance.

Built-In Analytics and Diagnostics
Smart features monitor airflow, filter status, and system integrity continuously. Consequently, it minimizes the risk of false alarms and helps maintain peak performance over time.

Application and Usage

This detector is well-suited for:

• Small IT or telecom rooms

• Control cabinets and enclosures

• Elevator control systems

• Museum display cases or storage rooms

Because of its pinpoint precision and compact build, it protects critical assets without overcomplicating the system design.

Installation Tips

For optimal performance:

• Mount the unit near the monitored equipment

• Use VESDA-approved pipe and fittings for the sampling network

• Maintain airtight seals to ensure consistent airflow

• Configure sensitivity settings via the VSC software, depending on the environment

Regular filter checks and cleaning of the sampling pipe will help ensure reliable detection.

Advantages

• Precision Detection: Ideal for environments requiring focused monitoring

• Space-Saving Design: Small footprint fits where larger systems cannot

• Reliable Performance: Laser detection and airflow diagnostics enhance safety

• User-Friendly Interface: Simplifies both installation and system monitoring

• Cost-Effective: Offers VESDA-quality protection with fewer components
