VESDA VEP-A00-P Smoke Detector.

VESDA VEP-A00-P Smoke Detector: Advanced Air Sampling Detection with 4-Pipe Flexibility

The VESDA VEP-A00-P Smoke Detector delivers high-sensitivity air sampling smoke detection in a durable plastic enclosure. Designed for early warning applications, it features a four-pipe configuration that allows it to protect multiple areas or provide broader coverage in challenging environments. This model is part of the VESDA-E series, known for precision, speed, and adaptability.

Key Features

High-Sensitivity Detection
The VEP-A00-P offers continuous air sampling with a laser-based detection chamber. This enables it to detect even minute smoke particles before a fire fully develops, ensuring faster emergency responses and minimizing potential damage.

Four-Pipe Configuration
With support for up to four sampling pipes, the detector provides flexible coverage for multiple zones. As a result, it is ideal for data centers, telecommunications rooms, museums, and clean rooms—anywhere early detection is essential.

Durable Plastic Enclosure
Its high-impact plastic housing protects internal components from environmental contaminants. This design also reduces weight, which simplifies wall or panel mounting during installation.

Intuitive User Interface
Equipped with a built-in display and LED indicators, the detector provides real-time status information. Moreover, its user-friendly interface allows for straightforward configuration and monitoring.

Smart Diagnostics and Analytics
The VEP-A00-P includes intelligent diagnostics and analytics features. It monitors airflow and filter condition continuously, helping maintenance teams detect performance issues early and avoid false alarms.

Application and Usage

Commonly used in:

• Data centers and server rooms

• Warehouses and logistics hubs

• Hospitals and laboratories

• Historical archives and museums

Its sensitivity and multi-pipe design make it suitable for mission-critical environments where standard spot detectors may not suffice.

Installation Tips

To achieve the best results:

• Mount the unit in an accessible, central location

• Use rigid or flexible VESDA sampling pipes following the layout guidelines

• Ensure airtight connections between pipes and the detector

• Calibrate the unit using the Xtralis VSC software for optimal performance

Regular maintenance and filter replacement will extend the system’s effectiveness and longevity.

Advantages

• Ultra-Early Detection: Recognizes fire threats long before visible smoke or heat occurs

• Multi-Zone Coverage: Supports up to four sampling areas with a single device

• Intelligent Monitoring: Built-in diagnostics improve reliability and system uptime

• User-Friendly Interface: Makes setup and troubleshooting more efficient

• Lightweight and Durable: Plastic enclosure offers strong protection without extra bulk
