System Sensor SS-HEAT. 135°F fixed heat detector.

Reliable Heat Detection for Harsh and Hazardous Environments

The System Sensor SS-HEAT is an intelligent, addressable heat detector designed to provide accurate and dependable fire detection in environments where smoke detection may not be ideal. With advanced thermal sensing technology, it delivers fast response to temperature changes caused by fire, making it ideal for industrial, mechanical, and high-dust applications.

Dual Heat Detection Options

The SS-HEAT is available in both fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise configurations. Fixed-temperature models activate when the ambient temperature exceeds a set threshold (typically 135°F or 190°F), while rate-of-rise models trigger an alarm when the temperature increases rapidly over a short period. As a result, the device offers flexibility for various environmental conditions and fire risk profiles.

Precision Sensing with Intelligent Communication

This detector integrates seamlessly with System Sensor intelligent fire alarm control panels. It not only detects heat accurately, but also transmits detailed status and maintenance information to the control system. Additionally, built-in diagnostics support real-time system monitoring and simplify troubleshooting.

Rugged Construction for Challenging Conditions

Built with durability in mind, the SS-HEAT performs reliably in dusty, humid, or high-ceiling areas where standard smoke detectors may be ineffective or prone to false alarms. Therefore, it is well-suited for warehouses, mechanical rooms, parking garages, and manufacturing facilities.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The SS-HEAT features a plug-in mounting base that enables fast and secure installation. Moreover, the low-profile design fits easily into standard mounting locations, reducing visual impact without sacrificing performance. LED indicators provide instant feedback on device status, simplifying maintenance checks.

Code-Compliant and Field-Tested

The detector meets UL 521 standards for heat detection, ensuring compliance with NFPA fire safety codes. Consequently, it supports system certification and AHJ approval with confidence.
