System Sensor OSI-R-SS Beam Smoke Detector

System Sensor OSI-R-SS Reflective Beam Smoke Detector – Key Specifications

The System Sensor OSI-R-SS Reflective Beam Smoke Detector offers advanced smoke detection technology for large, open spaces. This detector uses beam-based technology to detect smoke over a wide area, providing early warning in environments where traditional detectors may not be as effective. It is perfect for commercial, industrial, and large public spaces.

Key Features:

Reflective Beam Smoke Detection

The OSI-R-SS uses reflective beam technology to detect smoke. A transmitter sends an infrared light beam across the area, and the receiver detects any light reduction caused by smoke particles. When smoke interrupts the beam, the system triggers an alarm. This process ensures early detection of smoke and potential fire, giving people more time to react.

Wide Coverage Area

The OSI-R-SS covers a large area, up to 100 feet (30.48 meters), making it ideal for warehouses, gymnasiums, and other expansive spaces. This broad coverage minimizes the need for additional detectors, lowering installation and maintenance costs.

Easy Installation and Alignment

The detector’s self-aligning technology simplifies installation. It helps ensure proper alignment between the transmitter and receiver, reducing errors during setup. This feature significantly speeds up the installation process and guarantees accurate performance.

Adjustable Sensitivity

You can adjust the sensitivity of the OSI-R-SS to suit the environment. By tuning the response to the level of smoke in the area, the detector avoids false alarms while maintaining reliable fire detection. This flexibility ensures the system remains effective in various environments.

Built-in Test Feature

The detector includes a built-in test feature that lets users perform self-tests to verify its functionality. This feature ensures continuous reliability without the need for external testing equipment.

Low Maintenance Requirements

The OSI-R-SS requires minimal maintenance. Its durable design withstands environmental factors, making it reliable in challenging conditions. Periodic self-testing ensures that the detector maintains optimal performance.

Applications:

The System Sensor OSI-R-SS Reflective Beam Smoke Detector is ideal for environments where wide-area smoke detection is necessary. It is commonly used in:

• Large Commercial Buildings: Offices, shopping malls, and airports benefit from the OSI-R-SS’s broad coverage, providing comprehensive smoke detection in open spaces.
• Industrial Facilities: The OSI-R-SS is perfect for factories, warehouses, and manufacturing plants. Its wide detection range covers large areas, helping protect valuable equipment and personnel.
• Public Spaces: Sports complexes, gyms, and atriums rely on the OSI-R-SS for effective smoke detection in large, open environments.
• Warehouses and Distribution Centers: The detector offers efficient coverage for expansive warehouse spaces, making it an ideal solution for such large environments.
