VESDA OSI-90 Open-Area Smoke Imaging Detector

VESDA OSI-90 – Open-Area Smoke Imaging Detector (Imager)

The VESDA OSI-90 Open‑Area Smoke Imaging Detector is an advanced open-area smoke detection imager designed for large spaces where traditional point detectors may not provide adequate coverage. Part of the OSID (Open-Area Smoke Imaging Detection) system, the OSI-90 uses dual-wavelength ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) beams combined with digital imaging technology to accurately detect smoke while minimizing nuisance alarms caused by dust, steam, or insects.

With its wide field of view (up to 90°), a single OSI-90 imager can monitor multiple emitters to provide volumetric coverage across large open areas. This design allows reliable smoke detection in challenging environments such as warehouses, atriums, airports, and stadiums where beam alignment or building movement might affect traditional detectors.

Key Features

• Open-area smoke imaging detector (OSID imager)
