Space Age DA-003 Air Purge Kit

The Space Age DA-003 Air Purge Kit is a protective accessory designed for use with Space Age SaeVu 1IR and 3IR flame detectors. The Space Age DA-003 mounts directly over the detector lens and delivers a continuous flow of clean air across the optical surface, helping prevent dust, dirt, oil mist, moisture, and other airborne contaminants from accumulating on the detector. Therefore, it improves long-term flame detector performance while reducing maintenance requirements in harsh industrial environments.

Space Age DA-003 Function

The Space Age DA-003 is designed to maintain a clean optical path for compatible flame detectors by creating a continuous air barrier across the detector lens. As a result, contaminants are prevented from settling on the optical surface, allowing the detector to maintain its specified sensitivity and response characteristics. In addition, the air purge system minimizes the need for frequent cleaning in dusty or dirty operating environments.

Continuous Lens Protection

The DA-003 utilizes a ¼-inch compressed air inlet that distributes clean, dry air evenly across the front of the detector lens. Consequently, dust, debris, moisture, and airborne process contaminants are continuously swept away before they can interfere with flame detection. Moreover, the airflow is designed to protect the optical window without affecting detector performance.

Designed for SaeVu Flame Detectors

The Space Age DA-003 is specifically engineered for compatibility with all SaeVu 1IR and 3IR flame detectors, including the D171 and D371 Series. As a result, installers can add lens protection without modifying the detector or affecting its field of view. Additionally, the kit installs directly over the detector face for a clean, professional appearance.

Reduces Maintenance Requirements

Industrial environments often expose flame detectors to airborne contaminants that can reduce optical performance over time. Therefore, the DA-003 helps extend maintenance intervals by continuously protecting the detector lens from contamination. Furthermore, cleaner optics help maintain reliable flame detection while reducing service calls and system downtime.

Ideal for Harsh Industrial Environments

The Space Age DA-003 is particularly beneficial in facilities where dust, dirt, oil vapors, or airborne particles are common. Consequently, it is widely used in petrochemical plants, refineries, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants, and other industrial locations where maintaining a clean detector lens is critical for reliable fire detection.
