The Simplex 4906-9254 offers convenient installation in standard electrical boxes with extensions. It allows individual addressing and control of the strobe, with power, supervision, and control supplied by Simplex fire alarm control units. For additional details, refer to the TrueAlert strobe LEGACY compatibility reference. The speakers are wired separately.
The Simplex 4906-9254 provides visible notification through a single two-wire circuit. This circuit also confirms the connection to the strobe’s electronic circuit, which increases circuit supervision integrity. It offers supervision beyond just the appliance wiring, ensuring more reliable operation.
Using separate controls on the same two-wire SLC significantly reduces installation time and costs for both retrofits and new construction. For Class B wiring, T-tapping allows for savings in wire distance, conduit size, and overall installation efficiency. Additionally, the magnet test feature streamlines installation. TrueAlert device reports provide easy access to information about each connected appliance.
