The Simplex 4005-9807 Power Distribution Module (PDM). It i s an integral component of the Simplex 4005 fire alarm control panel (FACP).

Function: The PDM i s designed to provide power distribution and management capabilities for the Simplex 4005 FACP.

Power Supply: It serves as a power supply module, ensuring that the FACP. And its associated devices receive adequate and regulated power.

Capacity: Typically, the PDM supports multiple circuits for powering various devices. Like smoke detectors, notification appliances (like horns and strobes), and other peripheral equipment connected to the fire alarm system.

Integration: The PDM integrates seamlessly with the Simplex 4005 FACP. Allowing for centralized control and monitoring of the power distribution within the fire alarm system.

Installation: The PDM i s installed by connecting it to the main FACP. And configuring it according to the system’s specific power requirements and local fire safety codes.

The Power Distribution Board is essentially a backplane for the I/O cards. To bussing data and control signals between the CPU and I/O cards. The power distribution board provides signal power from the power supply. To the Output boards and 24VDC
auxiliary power to TB1.
The power distribution board can b e installed in the 4005 Back Box in two possible locations. The base 4005 has a power distribution board mounted on the right side of the back box. And the second (optional) board i s mounted on the left side of the back box.
