Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-R-W Addressable Smoke Detector

The Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-R-W Addressable Smoke Detector is an intelligent photoelectric smoke sensor engineered to provide fast, dependable smoke detection in commercial fire alarm systems. Featuring advanced optical sensing technology and remote test capability for duct detector applications, the devise delivers reliable detection of smoke generated by a wide range of combustion sources while supporting efficient maintenance and system diagnostics. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, industrial facilities, and HVAC duct smoke detection applications.

Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-R-W Function

The Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-R-W continuously monitors the surrounding environment using an advanced photoelectric sensing chamber. As a result, the detector identifies smoke particles associated with developing fires and transmits an analog smoke density signal to the compatible Silent Knight fire alarm control panel. In addition, built-in addressable communications allow each detector to be individually identified for faster alarm location and maintenance.

Advanced Photoelectric Smoke Detection

The SK-PHOTO-R-W incorporates an enhanced optical sensing chamber designed to detect smoke produced by a wide variety of combustion sources. Consequently, it provides dependable response to slow-smoldering fires while maintaining excellent immunity to nuisance alarms. Moreover, detector sensitivity is programmable through the fire alarm control panel and is continuously monitored for optimum performance.

Remote Test Capability

The SK-PHOTO-R-W is specifically designed for remote testing when installed in compatible DNR Series duct smoke detector housings. Therefore, technicians can perform functional testing using approved remote test accessories without accessing the detector directly. Furthermore, remote testing reduces maintenance time while improving technician safety during HVAC inspections.

Intelligent Addressable Communications

The detector features rotary decimal address switches for simple device addressing and precise point identification. As a result, each detector is individually identified by the fire alarm control panel, allowing maintenance personnel to quickly locate alarmed or contaminated detectors. Additionally, the detector supports stable analog communications with excellent noise immunity over a two-wire signaling line circuit (SLC).

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The Silent Knight SK-PHOTO-R-W features a low-profile plug-in design that installs easily into compatible detector bases. Consequently, installation and future servicing are simplified without disturbing field wiring. Built-in LED status indicators provide visual confirmation of detector operation, while programmable sensitivity reporting helps identify detectors requiring cleaning before performance is affected.
