Silent Knight IDP-HEAT-ROR-W Fixed Temperature

Silent Knight IDP-HEAT-ROR-W Fixed Temperature Heat Detector

The Silent Knight IDP-HEAT-ROR-W is a highly reliable heat detector designed to detect temperature increases and rapid changes in environments prone to false smoke alarms. It features both fixed temperature and rate-of-rise (ROR) detection, offering a versatile solution for fire safety.

Key Features

• Fixed Temperature Detection: This mode activates when the temperature reaches 135°F (57°C). It’s ideal for areas with fluctuating temperatures that may not trigger smoke alarms.
• Rate-of-Rise Detection: The detector reacts to a rapid increase in temperature, typically around 15°F (8°C) per minute. This helps detect potential fire hazards early.
• Dual Detection Mechanism: Combining fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detection provides reliable fire monitoring and reduces the chance of false alarms.
• Aesthetic Design: The detector’s white finish (W) blends well with most ceiling or wall colors.

Applications

The Silent Knight IDP-HEAT-ROR-W is perfect for locations where smoke detectors are less effective due to environmental factors like humidity or dust. Common applications include:

• Kitchens: Cooking can produce steam or smoke, which may trigger false alarms in smoke detectors.
• Warehouses: Large machinery and temperature fluctuations can affect the sensitivity of smoke detectors.
• Garages: Vehicle exhaust and fumes can lead to false alarms in smoke detectors.
• Industrial Facilities: High dust levels in factories make heat detectors a better choice.
• Data Centers and Server Rooms: These areas may experience heat build-up. The detector can detect abnormal temperature increases from equipment failures.
