Once operated, the handle locks in the activated position. Sigcom notes that the activated handle is readily visible from distances of up to approximately 50 feet, providing a clear indication that the station has been operated.
Typical SG-42SK2-SC installation includes:

- Routing the initiating-device circuit wiring
- Connecting wiring to the screw terminals
- Confirming use of the normally open alarm contact

- Closing and locking the station
- Restoring fire alarm system operation
- Pulling the handle to verify alarm activation
- Confirming alarm receipt at the control panel
- Opening the station with the reset key
- Returning the PULL handle to normal
- Confirming the fire alarm system restores properly
Installation should follow the current Sigcom documentation and the requirements of the connected fire alarm control system.
