Siemens TSM-1. Test Switch Module.

Siemens TSM-1 Test Switch Module

The Siemens TSM-1 Test Switch Module is a compact and reliable accessory used for testing duct smoke detector systems. Designed for integration into Siemens fire alarm configurations, this module offers convenient access to test critical detection equipment without requiring disassembly or exposure to active ductwork.

This switch module enables technicians and inspectors to simulate alarm and supervisory conditions during routine system checks. As a result, it supports faster diagnostics, reduces downtime, and ensures the system remains compliant with local and national fire codes.

Streamlined Testing for Duct Detectors

The TSM-1 allows for functional testing of Siemens duct smoke detectors by replicating alarm and trouble conditions through a simple interface. This capability eliminates the need to inject smoke or disturb the air sampling path. Instead, users can activate the test switch to confirm that control panels and notification devices respond correctly.

Because the switch module connects directly to the control circuitry, it provides accurate and repeatable results. This level of reliability is essential for meeting regulatory requirements and documenting system performance during inspections.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The Siemens TSM-1 is compact and easy to install near the associated detector or at an accessible location within the protected area. Thanks to its straightforward wiring and mounting design, the module can be added to new installations or retrofitted into existing systems with minimal disruption.

Moreover, technicians benefit from clearly labeled terminals and a durable housing that resists tampering and environmental wear. These design features simplify installation and reduce the risk of wiring errors or physical damage over time.

Application Versatility

This test switch module is ideal for use in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and any facility that utilizes duct-mounted smoke detection systems. It plays a critical role in verifying fire alarm system readiness during scheduled maintenance or commissioning. Because it facilitates proper system operation without requiring invasive procedures, it saves time and minimizes system downtime.

The Siemens TSM-1 Test Switch Module is a practical and efficient tool for maintaining duct smoke detection systems. Its ability to safely simulate alarm conditions makes it an essential component in regular fire alarm system testing. With easy installation, dependable operation, and broad compatibility, the TSM-1 enhances system safety while streamlining inspection routines across a wide range of building environments.
