Siemens SET-177-CW-WP-ALERT Ceiling Weatherproof Speaker-Strobe

The SET-177-CW-WP-ALERT is a ceiling-mount, high-candela, weatherproof speaker-strobe unit in the Siemens/SET series. Designed for indoor/outdoor use (or semi-exposed environments) to provide both voice or tone messages and visual alerts in one integrated assembly.

Because of its weather-resistant design, ideal for use in areas like covered exterior walkways, corridors with exposure, and atriums. Also, other spaces where moisture or environmental exposure may be a factor.

Key Features & Capabilities

• Combined Functionality
Delivers both audible (voice, tone) and visual (strobe) signals in a single unit, reducing the need for separate devices.

• Hi-Candela Strobe
The “177” in the model name indicates a higher candela strobe output (e.g., up to 177 cd) suitable for larger or high-visibility areas.

• Ceiling Mount Design
Intended for ceiling installation (“CW” denotes ceiling weatherproof). The design includes mounting provisions suitable for ceiling applications.

• Weatherproof (WP) Housing
The unit is rated for use in wet environments; housing and seals protect internal components from moisture.

• Dual-Voltage & Selectable Taps
Supports 25/70 VRMS speaker lines, with field-selectable wattage taps (from 1/8 W up to 8 W).
The strobe is “low current draw” in design to minimize load on the notification circuit.

• Built-In Level Adjustment
A two-screw grille cover enables adjustment of audio level to fine-tune performance.

• Low-Profile Design
The unit is designed to be relatively unobtrusive while maintaining robust functionality.
