The Siemens HLIM Loop Isolator Module provides protection of short circuits on the signaling line circuits via use with Siemens 50-point and 252/504-point addressable systems, as well as the Class `X’ Device Loop Card for Modular panels. When a short circuit is detect, this isolates the affect segment on the circuit, authorize the devices to continue functioning. Also, for Siemens Modular and FireFinder systems, up to 15 line-isolator modules (Model HLIM) may be wire on one Model XDLC or DLC loop, respectively. For Siemens 50- point and 252/504-point addressable systems, up to 15 HLIM modules can be wire on one SLC. Model HLIM is self-restore and automatic reconnect the circuit segment when the fault is remove.
Model Siemens HLIM Loop Isolator Module does not occupy a device address on any of the following: Model XLDC Modular panels; or the SLC for the Siemens 50-point and 252/504-point addressable FACP. In addition, the model HLIM is UL 864 9th Edition Listed for indoor dry locations within a temperature range of 120 +/-3°F (49 + / – 2°C) to 32 +/- 3°F (0 + / – 2°C) and at a relative humidity of 93 +/- 2% at a temperature of 90 + – 3°F (32 +/- 2°C).
Short-circuit isolation. Used on intelligent device circuits connected to any of the following fire-only or intelligent voice communication systems:
- Up to 15 HLIM devices can be wire to one addressable loop, a maximum of 20 devices are permitte.
- Mounts in a 4″ (10.2 cm.) square, 2-1/8″ (5.4 cm.) or 3.5″ (8.9 cm.) deep, double-gang electrical box.
- Style 4 or Style 6 wiring.
- Requires no programming.
- Local light-emitting diode (LED) indicator.
