Overall, the Siemens FDBZ-RTL Remote Alarm Indicator works with the FDBZ492-R or FDBZ492-PR Air Duct Housing with Relays. In addition, the LED on the remote indicator mimics the color of the LED on the detector. Use the remote indicator in applications where the detector is not easily viewed, such as air ducts and drop ceilings. The Siemens FDBZ-RTL Remote Alarm Indicator also works with FDBZ492-HR to monitor as well as test its relay output. Also, its LED will indicate if the relay is in a standby (GRN) or alarm (RED) state.
In general, the FDBZ-RTL Remote Alarm Indicator provides a key-operated detector test function. When this key is turned to the Test position, the relay on the FDBZ492-R, FDBZ492-PR, and FDBZ492-HR Air Duct Housing will activate and the LED will flash red. Besides, the FDBZ492-RTL Remote Alarm Indicator contains an LED indicator that flashes in one of three colors: green, yellow, or red. When the FDBZ492-R or FDBZ492-PR Air Duct Housing with Relays flashes, the remote indicator flashes in the same color. Besides, the flashes occur approximately every 7 seconds. second
