Fike FIK-IR3-H2-HD-AS21 Flame Detector

The Fike FIK-IR3-H2-HD-AS21 Flame Detector is an advanced triple infrared hydrogen flame detector designed for high-risk industrial applications. The Fike FIK-IR3-H2-HD-AS21 Flame Detector combines ultra-fast hydrogen flame detection with integrated HD video monitoring, providing both fire detection and visual situational awareness. Therefore, it helps protect personnel, equipment, and critical processes in environments where hydrogen fires present a significant hazard.

Fike Flame Detector Function

The Fike FIK-IR3-H2-HD-AS21 uses advanced Triple IR (IR3) sensing technology to detect hydrogen flames rapidly and accurately. As a result, the detector can identify both slow-growing fires and fast fireball events in milliseconds. In addition, sophisticated signal processing helps minimize nuisance alarms caused by sunlight, welding, hot equipment, and other non-fire sources.

Triple IR Hydrogen Flame Detection

This detector is specifically optimized for hydrogen fire hazards commonly found in energy transition and industrial applications. Consequently, it provides reliable detection of hydrogen flames that may be difficult to see with the naked eye. Moreover, Fike states that the detector can identify fireball events within approximately 40 milliseconds while maintaining high immunity to false alarms.

Integrated HD Video Monitoring

The HD version includes an integrated high-definition camera that provides continuous visual monitoring of the protected area. Therefore, operators can verify alarm conditions in real time and review recorded footage following an event. Furthermore, the HD camera supports situational awareness by capturing clear images of personnel and fire activity at significant distances.

Designed for Harsh Industrial Environments

The FIK-IR3-H2-HD-AS21 is engineered for challenging industrial conditions. As a result, it performs reliably in outdoor and indoor applications where dust, moisture, vibration, and extreme weather conditions may be present. Additionally, the rugged enclosure supports long-term operation in demanding environments.

Reliable System Integration

This flame detector integrates with compatible fire detection, fire alarm, and suppression systems. Consequently, it can provide immediate alarm signals and support rapid activation of emergency response procedures. Moreover, centralized monitoring improves overall facility safety and incident management.
