Federal Signal Vibratone 350-120-30 Electronic Horn

Federal Signal Vibratone 350-120-30 Electronic Horn: High-Decibel Alert for Industrial Safety

The Federal Signal Vibratone 350-120-30 is a heavy-duty electronic horn designed for industrial signaling applications. With its powerful output and rugged construction, it ensures audible alerts in high-noise environments, contributing significantly to workplace safety and emergency response systems.

Key Features

High Decibel Output
The Vibratone 350 delivers a piercing 103 dBA at 10 feet. As a result, it provides reliable audible signaling in factories, warehouses, and mechanical rooms where ambient noise levels are high.

Durable Construction
Constructed with a zinc die-cast housing, this horn withstands impact, corrosion, and temperature extremes. Additionally, it is UL Listed and CSA Certified, ensuring performance in demanding industrial settings.

Simple Electrical Setup
Operating at 120 VAC and drawing low current, the 350-120-30 integrates easily into standard alarm circuits. This simplicity reduces installation time and minimizes power supply concerns.

Compact Size with Broad Coverage
Despite its small footprint, this horn projects sound effectively over large areas. Its universal design allows mounting on walls, panels, or machinery, depending on the application.

Low-Maintenance Operation
With no moving parts and robust internal components, the horn requires minimal upkeep over its service life. Consequently, it remains a cost-effective signaling solution.

Application and Usage

This electronic horn is ideal for:

• Industrial machinery alarms

• Process control notification

• Emergency evacuation systems

• Equipment startup alerts

• General-purpose signaling in plants or mills

Because it cuts through loud ambient environments, it ensures alerts are not missed, even in active production areas.

Installation Tips

To achieve optimal performance:

• Mount the horn at ear level for maximum effectiveness in open areas.

• Ensure a clear path for sound travel by avoiding obstructions.

• Use appropriate electrical conduit fittings rated for the environment.

• Periodically test the horn to confirm functionality, especially in high-use applications.

Additionally, consider pairing it with visual alarms in high-risk zones to support ADA compliance and multimodal notification.

Advantages

• Powerful Sound Output: Delivers high-intensity alerts that penetrate noisy surroundings.

• Tough Industrial Design: Built to last in harsh environments with minimal maintenance needs.

• Flexible Mounting Options: Adapts to a range of industrial layouts and equipment.

• Reliable Operation: Simple electrical design ensures consistent and efficient performance.

• Code-Compliant: UL and CSA listings support use in regulated installations.
