Gamewell-FCI MCS-COP3. Photoelectric and CO Detector

Gamewell-FCI MCS-COP3 Photoelectric and CO Detector: Dual Sensing for Comprehensive Safety

The Gamewell-FCI MCS-COP3 is a high-performance detector that combines photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) sensing. It delivers early warning for both fire and CO threats, all in a single device. Therefore, it enhances occupant safety while simplifying system design and installation.

Key Features

Dual Detection Technology
This detector uses both photoelectric and electrochemical sensors. As a result, it detects smoke and CO simultaneously with increased accuracy. This feature helps minimize false alarms and improves emergency response.

Addressable Functionality
As part of the Gamewell-FCI intelligent line, this unit provides addressable capabilities. Consequently, it enables technicians to pinpoint the exact location of an alarm, making maintenance and response more efficient.

Drift Compensation
To maintain accuracy over time, the MCS-COP3 adjusts for environmental changes like dust buildup. This ensures consistent performance and reduces unnecessary service calls.

Advanced Multi-Criteria Sensing
By evaluating multiple environmental signals, the detector enhances detection speed and accuracy. Additionally, this reduces the chance of nuisance alarms in complex environments.

Reliable CO Sensing Element
The unit features a durable electrochemical CO sensor. It consistently monitors CO levels and offers a long service life, which supports long-term system reliability.

Application and Usage

This detector is ideal for commercial and institutional buildings. For example, it works well in schools, offices, hospitals, and retail spaces. Because it addresses both smoke and CO risks, it is perfect for areas near fuel-burning appliances or HVAC systems. Moreover, using a dual-sensor detector saves space and reduces installation time.

Installation Tips

For the best results:

• Place detectors in areas where fire and CO risks are present.

• Avoid locations with excessive dust or airflow obstructions.

• Test the unit regularly and follow NFPA maintenance guidelines.

These practices help maintain optimal detection performance over time.

Advantages

• Enhanced Safety: Dual-sensor detection improves accuracy and provides quicker alerts for smoke and CO.

• Simplified Maintenance: Addressable features and drift compensation reduce time spent on servicing.

• Cost and Space Savings: Combines two functions in one device, which reduces system complexity and equipment costs.

• Code Compliance: Meets UL standards, making it easier to satisfy regulatory requirements.
