FDD CF 200-2CO Fixed Temperature Heat Detector 200°F

The FDD CF 200-2CO is a commercial fixed temperature heat detector designed for compatible conventional fire alarm systems. Specifically, it activates when the surrounding temperature reaches 200°F (93°C), providing dependable heat detection for life-safety applications in commercial and industrial environments. This product is intended exclusively for fire alarm installations and is not surveillance equipment, communications equipment, consumer electronics, tracking equipment, or recording devices.

Built with a durable cast aluminum housing, the CF 200-2CO features a fixed-temperature, non-restorable sensing element and dual-circuit contact configuration with one Normally Closed (NC) circuit and one Normally Open (NO) circuit. In addition, its rugged construction supports dependable performance in demanding environments where smoke detectors may not be suitable.

Product Functions

The FDD CF 200-2CO supports commercial fire alarm systems by providing:

• Fixed temperature heat detection
• 200°F (93°C) activation point
• One Normally Closed (NC) contact
• One Normally Open (NO) contact
• Dual-circuit operation for alarm and auxiliary functions
• Reliable operation in harsh environments
• Support for conventional fire alarm systems

Electrical & System Information

The CF 200-2CO is designed for conventional fire alarm systems requiring mechanical heat detection. Furthermore, its dual-circuit design allows one circuit to initiate a fire alarm while the second circuit can operate auxiliary equipment such as door holders, elevator recall, local annunciation, or control relays.

Because this model is a Fixed Temperature Only detector, it does not respond to rapid temperature increases. Instead, it activates only when the sensing element reaches its rated temperature of 200°F (93°C). Always verify compatibility before installation.

Features

Fixed Temperature Operation

The detector activates only after reaching a fixed temperature of 200°F (93°C). As a result, it helps reduce unwanted alarms in environments where normal temperature fluctuations may occur.

Dual-Circuit Contacts

The CF 200-2CO includes one Normally Closed (NC) contact and one Normally Open (NO) contact. Consequently, installers can operate both the fire alarm circuit and an auxiliary control function from a single detector.

Rugged Mechanical Construction

The cast aluminum housing provides excellent durability for commercial and industrial applications. Furthermore, the detector performs reliably in areas where environmental conditions make smoke detectors impractical.

Non-Restorable Design

Once activated, the detector remains in the alarm state and requires replacement. Therefore, it provides dependable fixed-temperature protection without requiring electronic components.

Flexible Auxiliary Control

The second contact can operate compatible ancillary equipment, including magnetic door holders, elevator recall circuits, local signaling devices, or control relays.

Mounting & Design

The FDD CF 200-2CO features a low-profile cast aluminum housing designed for commercial and industrial installations. In addition, screw terminal connections simplify wiring while providing secure electrical connections.

Its rugged construction makes the detector suitable for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, mechanical rooms, loading docks, and other environments where dust, moisture, or airborne contaminants may affect smoke detector performance.

Protection & Applications

The CF 200-2CO is designed exclusively for commercial fire alarm systems requiring dependable fixed-temperature heat detection.

Typical protection includes:

• Fixed-temperature fire detection
• Commercial fire alarm systems
• Industrial fire protection
• Mechanical equipment rooms
• Warehouses
• Utility spaces
• Dusty or harsh environments

Always install the detector according to local building codes, fire codes, and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Compatibility

The FDD CF 200-2CO is designed for use with compatible conventional fire alarm control panels and supervised initiating device circuits.

Before purchasing or installing this detector, verify compatibility with the intended fire alarm system and all applicable project requirements.
