Notifier FST-951 Addressable Heat Detector

Notifier FST-951 Intelligent Heat Detector: Accurate Heat Sensing for Fire Protection

The Notifier FST-951 Intelligent Heat Detector delivers precise thermal detection in a wide range of environments. Designed for both fixed temperature and rate-of-rise sensing, this device provides reliable fire detection without being affected by dust, humidity, or airborne particles. Therefore, it is an excellent solution for challenging environments where smoke detectors may not be suitable.

Key Features

Dual Heat Detection Modes
The FST-951 supports both fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detection. As a result, it quickly identifies rapid temperature increases and steady heat levels, ensuring a fast and accurate response to fire conditions.

Advanced Addressable Technology
As part of Notifier’s intelligent line, the FST-951 communicates directly with the fire control panel. This allows the system to pinpoint the exact location of the triggered device, which improves emergency response and maintenance efficiency.

Stable Performance in Harsh Environments
Because this detector is not affected by dust or smoke, it performs well in industrial, mechanical, and commercial areas. It is especially useful in spaces like kitchens, boiler rooms, and warehouses.

Low-Profile and Sleek Design
The FST-951 features a compact, unobtrusive design that blends easily into any environment. Despite its small size, it delivers dependable performance and broad coverage.

Easy Installation and Maintenance
With a plug-in base and simple addressing, installation is fast and error-free. Furthermore, the detector supports remote testing, reducing the need for physical access during routine inspections.

Application and Usage

The FST-951 is ideal for environments where traditional smoke detection may lead to false alarms. For instance, it is commonly used in parking garages, utility rooms, and areas with high airflow or airborne contaminants. Additionally, it works seamlessly with other Notifier intelligent devices, allowing for integrated fire protection across a facility.

Installation Tips

For optimal performance:

• Install the detector on ceilings, away from air vents or direct heat sources.

• Use fixed temperature mode in areas with stable ambient conditions.

• Apply rate-of-rise sensing in spaces where sudden heat surges may indicate fire.

Routine testing and cleaning are also important for maintaining consistent detection accuracy.
