The Edwards KC2-H Conventional Heat Detector a 2-wire conventional heat detector designed for reliable fire detection in commercial and industrial fire alarm systems. Part of the KC2 Series, this detector uses a dual rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature heat sensing element to identify rapid increases in temperature or when the ambient temperature reaches the alarm threshold.

The detector activates when the surrounding air temperature exceeds 135°F (57°C) or when a rapid temperature increase is detected, providing dependable protection in environments where smoke detectors may not be suitable, such as mechanical rooms, kitchens, or dusty areas.

Designed with a low-profile head-and-base configuration, the KC2-H allows the detector head to be easily installed or replaced while wiring remains connected to the base. Built-in self-diagnostic monitoring continually checks the detector’s operation to help ensure consistent performance and system reliability.
