Edwards SIGA-SB4 Standard Detector Base

The Edwards SIGA-SB4 Standard Detector Base is the basic 4-inch mounting base used with compatible Edwards Signature Series detectors. It provides the mechanical mounting point and Signature data-loop connections required by the installed detector.

Unlike relay or isolator bases, the SIGA-SB4 provides straightforward detector mounting and circuit connectivity without auxiliary relay or fault-isolation functions. The 4-inch version includes the SIGA-TS4 trim skirt, which conceals the mounting ears and provides a finished appearance when installed on a 4-inch square electrical box.

The SIGA-SB4 performs the same basic detector-base function while adding compatibility with a North American 4-inch square electrical box and including the associated trim skirt.

4-Inch Base Configuration

The SIGA-SB4 is specifically the 4-inch version of the standard Signature detector base.

Signature Series Detector Compatibility

Remote LED Support

The SIGA-SB4 supports the:

Dedicated terminals on the base provide connections for the remote LED, allowing alarm indication to be located away from the detector when required.

Standard Base vs. Specialty Bases

The SIGA-SB4 is intended for installations where only standard detector connectivity is required.

#16 AWG / 1.0 mm²

#18 AWG / 0.75 mm².
