The Edwards EC2-OSH Smoke/Heat Detector is a 2-wire multi-criteria smoke and heat detector designed for conventional fire alarm systems. Part of the Edwards EC2 Series, this detector combines photoelectric smoke sensing with a built-in heat sensor, providing reliable detection across a wide range of fire conditions.

Using advanced Optica optical sensing technology, the EC2-OSH accurately detects smoke while helping reduce nuisance alarms caused by non-fire sources such as cooking smoke or water vapor. The integrated heat sensor activates at 135°F (57°C) or when a rapid temperature rise detected, providing additional protection in environments where both smoke and heat detection are required.

Designed with a head-and-base configuration, the detector easily installed or replaced without disturbing wiring at the base. Built-in self-diagnostics and automatic drift compensation continuously monitor sensitivity and adjust performance as the detector accumulates dust, helping maintain reliable operation over time.
