Bosch F220-B6R Four-Wire Detector Base

The Bosch F220-B6R is a standard four-wire detector base designed for use with Bosch F220 Series smoke and heat detectors. The Bosch F220-B6R provides reliable detector mounting and incorporates a built-in Form A alarm relay for connection to conventional fire alarm control panels and monitoring circuits. Therefore, it offers a dependable solution for commercial and industrial fire alarm installations requiring four-wire detector operation.

Bosch F220-B6R Function

The F220-B6R serves as the mounting and electrical interface for compatible Bosch F220 Series detector heads. As a result, when the detector enters an alarm condition, the integrated Form A relay activates and reports the alarm to the fire alarm control panel. In addition, the base supports both 12VDC and 24VDC fire alarm systems, providing installation flexibility across a wide range of applications.

Four-Wire Detector Base Design

The Bosch F220-B6R is specifically engineered for four-wire conventional fire alarm systems. Consequently, it provides separate power and initiating device circuit connections for enhanced system design flexibility. Furthermore, the four-wire configuration allows the detector to be used with virtually any compatible UL-listed four-wire fire alarm control panel.

Built-In Form A Alarm Relay

The F220-B6R incorporates a normally-open Form A alarm relay that activates when the detector enters alarm. Therefore, alarm conditions can be transmitted directly to the fire alarm control panel or other monitoring equipment. Additionally, the relay provides dependable alarm signaling for conventional fire detection applications.

12VDC and 24VDC Compatibility

The Bosch F220-B6R supports both 12VDC and 24VDC operating systems. As a result, installers can use the same detector base across multiple project types and control panel configurations. Moreover, dual-voltage compatibility simplifies inventory management and system upgrades.

Compatible Bosch F220 Series Detectors

The F220-B6R is designed for use with Bosch F220 Series detector heads, including:

• F220-P Photoelectric Smoke Detector
• F220-PTH Smoke Detector with Heat Sensor
• F220-PTHC Smoke Detector with Heat and CO Enhancement
• F220-135 Rate-of-Rise Heat Detector
• F220-135F Fixed Temperature Heat Detector
• F220-190F High Temperature Heat Detector

Consequently, the base supports a wide range of fire detection applications while maintaining consistent installation practices.

Remote Annunciator Support

The Bosch F220-B6R supports connection to the optional DRA-5 remote alarm annunciator. Therefore, alarm status can be displayed remotely when detector visibility is limited. Furthermore, remote annunciation improves maintenance efficiency and alarm identification.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The F220-B6R features a low-profile design and interchangeable detector head compatibility. As a result, installation is simplified and future detector replacement can be performed without changing the base. Additionally, Bosch F220 detectors offer easy maintenance and testing procedures for long-term reliability.
