Because of its high intelligibility and selectable strobe output, it is widely used in schools, offices, hospitals, and public assembly buildings.

Voice and Tone Messaging for Critical Alerts

The speaker component supports both voice messages and steady or temporal tones, ensuring versatility across various alarm scenarios. It delivers clear audio output with field-selectable power settings ranging from 1/8 watt to 2 watts. This flexibility allows the unit to meet different sound coverage requirements based on room size or ambient noise levels.

As a result, it helps occupants clearly understand emergency instructions, improving evacuation response times.

Multi-Candela Strobe with ADA Compliance

The integrated strobe light provides attention-getting flashes with field-selectable candela settings, including 15, 30, 75, and 110 cd. These options allow installers to tailor brightness to the application, ensuring compliance with ADA and NFPA 72 requirements for visual signaling. The synchronized strobe capability also enhances system-wide coordination, preventing confusion caused by unsynchronized flashes.

By combining sound and light effectively, the unit enhances communication during emergencies.

Simplified Installation and Compatibility

The E70-24MCC-FW installs easily to standard 4-inch square or double-gang electrical boxes using common mounting hardware. Its universal mounting plate and plug-in design simplify installation and reduce labor time. It also works with Wheelock’s speaker and strobe synchronization modules, providing full compatibility with modern fire alarm control systems.

This ease of setup ensures quicker deployment in both new installations and system retrofits.
