System Sensor SS-HEAT-ROR. 135°F fixed heat detector.

System Sensor SS-HEAT-ROR Fixed Heat Detector and Rate-of-Rise – Key Specifications

The System Sensor SS-HEAT-ROR is a dual-function heat detector that combines the benefits of a 135°F fixed temperature setting with a rate-of-rise (ROR) sensing feature. This allows for reliable fire detection in a wide range of environments where temperature changes might indicate potential fire hazards. The SS-HEAT-ROR is designed for use in standard temperature environments and is ideal for applications where both the heat threshold and rapid temperature changes need to be monitored.

Key Features and Specifications:

• Dual Functionality: The SS-HEAT-ROR features two detection mechanisms:
  • Fixed Temperature: Activates when the ambient temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).
  • Rate-of-Rise (ROR): Triggers an alarm if the temperature rises rapidly by 15°F (8°C) in one minute.
• Sensing Mechanism: Uses a thermal sensing element for detecting heat accumulation and rapid temperature changes.
• Compatibility: Compatible with System Sensor-compatible fire alarm panels.
• Mounting: Designed for ceiling or wall mounting, suitable for various installation environments.

Applications:

The System Sensor SS-HEAT-ROR is suited for environments where both slow temperature changes (indicating a potential fire) and fast temperature increases (indicative of a fire spreading rapidly) need to be monitored. Some ideal applications include:

• Industrial environments: Where slow and rapid temperature increases are common due to machinery or equipment.
• Commercial kitchens: Especially in larger facilities where both heat buildup from cooking and rapid temperature rises due to fire hazards are a concern.
• Storage areas and warehouses: For monitoring temperature variations from heat-producing equipment or hot processes.
• Mechanical rooms: Where heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems or other machinery can generate both steady heat and rapid temperature fluctuations.
