System Sensor PC2RL Ceiling Horn Strobe (Red)

System Sensor PC2RL Ceiling Horn Strobe (Red): High-Impact Audio-Visual Signaling

The System Sensor PC2RL Ceiling Horn Strobe in red delivers dependable audible and visual emergency notification for fire alarm systems. Designed for ceiling mounting, this device combines a powerful horn with a bright strobe, making it ideal for alerting occupants in various environments.

Key Features

Dual Functionality for Maximum Alerting
The PC2RL combines a high-decibel horn with a high-intensity strobe to ensure immediate occupant awareness during emergencies. As a result, it significantly improves the effectiveness of fire alarm systems in noisy or large spaces.

Ceiling-Mount Design
This model is optimized for ceiling installation, which offers a wider and more uniform strobe distribution compared to wall-mounted devices. Consequently, it enhances visibility across open areas like hallways, lobbies, and open offices.

Selectable Candela Settings
The unit features field-selectable strobe settings (ranging from 15 to 115 cd), allowing installers to customize the output based on room size or specific application requirements. This flexibility helps meet code compliance with minimal adjustments.

Red Housing for Easy Identification
The bright red color ensures the device stands out in any ceiling layout, promoting fast recognition during fire alarms. It also meets standard fire safety color requirements in most jurisdictions.

Low Current Draw
Engineered with efficiency in mind, the PC2RL operates with reduced current consumption, which helps optimize the system’s power budget, especially in large installations with multiple devices.

Synchronization Capable
The strobe component can synchronize with other System Sensor devices using the MDL3 module. This ensures that all strobes flash in unison, minimizing disorientation and improving evacuation coordination.

Application and Usage

The System Sensor PC2RL is suitable for commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial environments. It’s especially effective in large or high-noise areas where both auditory and visual alerts are essential for occupant safety.

Installation Tips

For optimal performance, install the PC2RL in the center of the ceiling for even light distribution. Always follow local fire code requirements for candela settings and wiring standards. After installation, verify both horn and strobe functionality through a full system test.
