The Simplex 4904-9342 strobes provide quick and convenient installation using a flexible mounting design. Also, the Simplex 4904-9342 strobe housing is a rugged, one-piece assembly (including lens) that mounts to single gang, double gang, or 4” square standard electrical box. Besides, wiring terminals are accessible from the front of the housing, providing easy access for installation, inspection, and testing. The cover can be quickly removed and when in place, the entire assembly is impact and vandal resistant. Separate covers are available for color conversion.
When multiple strobes and their reflections can be see from one location, synchronize flashes reduce the probability of photo-sensitive reactions as well as the annoyance and possible distraction of random flashing. Flash synchronization modules are available to control the observed flashes of synchronized flash models using a two-wire circuit.
Typically, fire alarm control panels activate both audible and visible notification upon receipt of an alarm. At the direction of an authorized operator (or by pre-determined program), audible notification appliances may be silenced before the alarm condition is reset (on-until-silenced) while the visible notification appliances are kept activated until the alarm condition is reset (on-until-reset).
