Silent Knight SK-ISO Fault Isolator Module

Silent Knight SK-ISO Fault Isolator Module: Reliable Circuit Protection for Fire Alarm Systems

The Silent Knight SK-ISO Fault Isolator Module improves the reliability of addressable fire alarm systems. It automatically detects and isolates short circuits on the SLC (Signaling Line Circuit). As a result, the rest of the system continues to operate normally, even when part of the wiring fails.

Key Features

Automatic Short Circuit Isolation
This module instantly identifies and isolates faults on the SLC loop. Therefore, it helps prevent communication failures and ensures the rest of the devices stay functional.

Maintains System Integrity
Even during a short circuit, unaffected zones continue operating. This keeps essential fire safety features active and minimizes risk.

Easy Installation with Plug-In Design
Thanks to its plug-in style, installation is quick and simple. It also reduces wiring time and makes future maintenance easier.

Visual LED Status Indicator
A built-in LED shows status updates. It displays normal operation, fault detection, or when the module isolates a section.

Compact and Flexible
Its small size fits easily into standard electrical boxes, making it ideal for tight or concealed installation areas.

Code-Compliant and Certified
The SK-ISO meets UL standards and follows NFPA 72 regulations. Therefore, it integrates safely and reliably into compliant fire systems.

Application and Usage

This fault isolator module is perfect for:

• Large commercial fire alarm networks

• Hospitals and healthcare buildings

• Schools and campuses

• Industrial and high-risk facilities

In these locations, even a single circuit fault must not disable the entire system. The SK-ISO ensures that protection continues where it’s needed most.

Installation Tips

• Place the SK-ISO between every 25 devices or at key points along the SLC loop. This limits the spread of faults.

• Mount it in a standard 4-inch square or double-gang box for proper fit and code compliance.

• Confirm compatibility with Silent Knight addressable panels before wiring.

• Use the LED to verify operation or quickly find issues.

• After installation, test the loop to confirm proper isolation behavior.

Advantages

• Enhanced Reliability: Isolates faults without affecting the rest of the system.

• Quick Diagnosis: LED status helps pinpoint problems fast.

• Flexible Mounting: Compact form fits into tight or hidden areas.

• Fast Installation: Plug-in mount makes setup more efficient.

• Fully Compliant: Meets UL and NFPA standards for safety and performance.
