Siemens DB2-HR. Detector Base S54370-F12-A1.

Versatile Mounting Base with Integrated Relay Output

The DB2-HR is a low-profile detector mounting base equipped with a Form C relay, designed to work with System Sensor’s 200 Series conventional smoke and heat detectors. It provides reliable power and communication between the control panel and detector, while also offering relay-driven functionality for controlling external devices such as door holders, fans, dampers, or auxiliary notification appliances.

Form C Relay for Enhanced Control Functions

The integrated Form C (SPDT) relay allows the DB2-HR to interface with auxiliary devices that need to be triggered during an alarm. For example, it can cut power to HVAC systems, close fire doors, or activate remote annunciators. As a result, it enhances building safety by supporting coordinated emergency response actions beyond simple alarm notification.

Simplified Installation and Compatibility

The DB2-HR features screw terminals for secure wiring and accepts a wide range of wire gauges. Additionally, it supports quick detector plug-in and locks the head securely in place. The base is compatible with most System Sensor 200 Series detectors, including both photoelectric smoke detectors and heat sensors. Therefore, it provides flexibility for both new installations and retrofit projects.

Low-Profile Design for Clean Aesthetics

Its sleek, low-profile construction blends easily into modern architectural environments. Whether installed in commercial offices, schools, healthcare facilities, or high-end residential spaces, the DB2-HR maintains a clean, professional appearance without compromising performance.

Field-Tested and Code-Compliant

The DB2-HR is UL-listed and tested for use with fire alarm control panels that support conventional detection technology. Furthermore, it meets all applicable NFPA requirements for mounting and relay function, ensuring regulatory compliance.
