Potter VSR-3 Waterflow Alarm Switch with Retard.

Potter VSR-3 Waterflow Alarm Switch with Retard.

The Potter VSR-3 Vane Type Waterflow Alarm Switch with Retard offers precise detection for wet fire sprinkler systems. Designed for 3-inch steel or copper piping, this device plays a vital role in identifying water movement when a sprinkler activates.

Its durable vane mechanism senses water flow and promptly signals the fire alarm control panel. A built-in mechanical retard delays activation during short pressure surges. This prevents false alarms and ensures the system responds only during real fire events.

The VSR-3 features two SPDT switches, enabling flexible integration with multiple systems. One switch can trigger the main fire alarm, while the other may activate remote alerts or auxiliary devices. This dual-function capability enhances safety coordination.

Installation is straightforward. The saddle-type bracket securely clamps the unit to the pipe. Additionally, the weather-resistant enclosure protects internal components from harsh environments. The accessible design allows for easy inspection and maintenance, helping to reduce downtime.

This model meets UL, FM, and NFPA standards. It’s ideal for commercial buildings, industrial sites, and institutional facilities that require dependable flow monitoring. The VSR-3 ensures compliance and enhances the overall reliability of fire protection systems.
