Potter CF-200-MP. Fixed Temperature Heat Detector.

Potter CF-200-MP Fixed Temperature Heat Detector

The Potter CF-200-MP Fixed Temperature Heat Detector is a dependable solution for environments where smoke detection may be impractical. Instead of sensing smoke particles, this device activates when the ambient temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold, offering a reliable alternative in dusty, humid, or smoky conditions.

Key Features

Fixed Temperature Activation
The CF-200-MP is engineered to trigger an alarm when the surrounding temperature reaches 200°F (93°C). This consistent activation point ensures dependable detection in high-risk areas prone to rapid temperature changes.

Durable Construction
Designed for longevity, the unit features a rugged metal alloy casing. As a result, it performs well even in industrial or commercial applications where other detectors might fail.

Low-Maintenance Design
Unlike smoke detectors, this heat detector doesn’t require constant cleaning or calibration. Consequently, it reduces maintenance needs and long-term operational costs.

Wide Compatibility
It integrates smoothly with most fire alarm control panels, making it a versatile option for both new and retrofit installations.

Applications

This detector is ideal for garages, mechanical rooms, attics, kitchens, and other environments where smoke, dust, or steam could lead to false alarms. Its performance in these tough locations makes it a preferred choice among fire protection professionals.

Installation Tips

Mount the CF-200-MP on the ceiling, where heat tends to accumulate first. Additionally, ensure that the space allows unobstructed air flow around the device for accurate temperature sensing. Regular system testing is recommended to verify proper alarm response.

Advantages

• Reliable performance in harsh conditions

• Simple installation and low upkeep

• Reduces false alarms caused by dust or humidity

• Works with a wide range of fire alarm systems

• Compact and unobtrusive design
