Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator

The Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator with Supervisory Limit Switch is an electrically operated actuation device designed for use with Janus clean agent fire suppression systems. The Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator automatically opens the primary suppression cylinder upon receiving a release signal from the fire suppression control panel. Therefore, it plays a critical role in ensuring rapid and reliable discharge of the extinguishing agent during a fire event.

Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator Function

The Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator attaches directly to the valve actuation connection on the primary suppression cylinder. As a result, the actuator can automatically release the extinguishing agent when activated by the fire suppression control panel. In addition, the device provides dependable operation for FM-200®, FK-5-1-12, and other compatible Janus suppression systems.

Supervisory Limit Switch Monitoring

This actuator includes an integrated supervisory limit switch that monitors the actuator installation status. Consequently, the control panel can detect if the actuator has been removed or is not properly installed. Moreover, this supervision capability supports compliance with modern fire suppression system monitoring requirements and helps maintain system readiness.

Reliable Electrical Actuation

The electric valve actuator operates from a nominal 24 VDC releasing circuit. Therefore, it provides fast and dependable cylinder activation during emergency conditions. Furthermore, the actuator is designed to deliver consistent performance in mission-critical fire suppression applications. According to Janus documentation, the actuator operates between 20.4 and 26.4 VDC and draws approximately 500 mA during activation.

Durable Industrial Construction

The Janus Fire System 20722 Electric Valve Actuator is manufactured with a steel body, brass swivel nut, and stainless-steel actuation pin. As a result, it withstands demanding industrial environments while maintaining reliable operation. Additionally, the rugged construction supports long-term service life in critical protection systems.

Easy Installation and Reset

The actuator mounts directly to compatible Janus cylinder valves and connects through a DIN-style electrical connector. Consequently, installation is straightforward for qualified fire suppression technicians. Furthermore, after system discharge, the actuator can be manually reset for system restoration and maintenance.
