Honeywell IDP-RELAY Addressable Relay Module

Honeywell IDP-RELAY Addressable Relay Module: Flexible Control for Fire Alarm Systems

The Honeywell IDP-RELAY is an addressable relay module designed to provide controlled switching of external devices in response to signals from a fire alarm control panel. This versatile module enables seamless integration of HVAC systems, door holders, elevator recall, and other building systems into your fire safety setup.

Key Features

Fully Addressable
The IDP-RELAY communicates directly with compatible Honeywell fire alarm control panels, allowing precise control and individual device monitoring.

SPDT Relay Output
Equipped with a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) relay for switching applications. It offers maximum flexibility for controlling various circuits and auxiliary equipment.

Form C Dry Contacts
Provides dry contact outputs rated at 2.0 amps @ 30VDC or 0.6 amps @ 125VAC, allowing safe and effective control of electrical loads without direct electrical connection to the control panel.

LED Status Indicator
An onboard LED provides a clear visual indication of the relay’s activation status, simplifying troubleshooting and maintenance.

Compact Design
Fits easily into standard electrical boxes and enclosures. Ideal for new installations or retrofitting existing systems without requiring large amounts of space.

Flexible Configuration
Can be programmed for multiple applications, such as fan shutdown, damper control, magnetic door release, and elevator functions.

Application and Usage

The IDP-RELAY is ideal for commercial, industrial, and institutional environments requiring automated device control through a fire alarm system. It enhances fire safety by integrating critical building systems and triggering actions based on alarm conditions or manual commands from the control panel.

Common Uses Include:

• Controlling HVAC shutdown

• Activating emergency lighting

• Elevator recall

• Door unlocking or locking

• Ventilation control

• Fan or damper actuation

Installation Tips

• Mount in a standard 4” electrical box or compatible surface-mount enclosure.

• Use supervised wiring as required by code to ensure system integrity.

• Label each module clearly for identification within the addressable loop.

• Coordinate with panel programming to define relay logic and response conditions.

• Always test the module as part of final system commissioning.
