Gamewell ATD-RL2F. Heat Detector.

Advanced Addressable Thermal Detection

The Gamewell ATD‑RL2F Heat Detector offers both fixed‑temperature and rate‑of‑rise sensing in one reliable unit. It triggers on a 135°F (57°C) fixed threshold and also on a temperature rise of 15°F per minute. This dual‑mode performance ensures fast detection in areas where smoke detectors alone may not suffice.

Addressable, Plug‑In Design

This detector connects into a compatible base and supports intelligent addressable communication. It features rotary switch addressing for precise device location tracking. Because each unit carries its own identifier, maintenance, monitoring and diagnostics become much easier.

Low‑Profile Construction & Versatile Mounting

Built in a compact housing, the ATD‑RL2F fits neatly into ceilings or walls and uses standard detector bases. It works well in commercial, industrial, educational or institutional settings where rapid thermal detection is required rather than smoke‑based sensing.

Reliable Features & Seamless Integration

The unit has a bi‑color LED: it flashes green during normal operation when addressed, and stays solid red in alarm. A built‑in magnet‑test switch allows quick field testing without removing the sensor. Moreover, it supports duct mounting and offers a low standby current draw for efficient system operation.

Ideal Applications

Use the Gamewell ATD‑RL2F Heat Detector in HVAC ducts, boiler rooms, storage areas, kitchens, or any environment where heat detection is preferred over smoke detection. Its rate‑of‑rise sensitivity helps catch rapidly developing fires before fixed‑temperature alone would activate.

Trusted Brand with Proven Performance

Manufactured by Gamewell‑FCI (now part of Honeywell’s life safety portfolio), this detector brings robust, tested performance for addressable fire‑alarm systems. Choosing the ATD‑RL2F means choosing a dependable, code‑compliant solution for thermal fire detection.
